We are excited to announce 15 grantees this cycle. Organizations receiving grants this cycle include:

 

Center for Victims ($75,000) will upgrade their technology infrastructure, ensuring staff like legal advocates, crisis case workers and the community outreach team provide timely, efficient, trauma-informed services to their clients.

 

Shepherd Wellness Community ($150,000) will hire a communications staff member, update kitchen facilities and provide additional programming to ensure optimal wellness for people living with HIV/AIDS.

 

The Greenwood Plan ($250,000) will construct and operate an event space at Greenwood Smithfield that results in a revenue stream that supports the organization’s mission to strengthen Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs and organizations.

 

Adagio Health, Inc. ($175,000) will implement a new patient-engagement platform and website that will streamline staff functions, prioritize accessibility and result in an improved patient experience.

 

The Education Partnership ($200,000) will continue its operations and programs, distributing over $11 million worth of supplies to over 10,500 teachers and 74,000 students in under-resourced schools across southwestern Pennsylvania.

 

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation ($200,000) will continue WESA’s core journalism programming — made available throughout the region without charge — and provide internships for aspiring journalists.

 

Reading Ready Pittsburgh ($100,000) will expand and strengthen its existing programming in Clairton and Wilkinsburg.

 

County of Westmoreland ($250,000) will further strengthen the institutional capacity of its newly established Department of Human Services (WCDHS), resulting in an integrated system that helps all Westmoreland County residents thrive.

 

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Inc. ($200,000) will continue operating and strengthening its core programs while exploring new visions and initiatives.

 

Film Pittsburgh ($50,000) will enhance the region’s arts and culture landscape through the art of independent films.

 

Will Allen Foundation ($250,000) will expand their programming in the Clairton City School District by establishing STEM programs in the district’s elementary and middle schools and expanding Clairton High School’s existing STEM programming.

 

Latino Community Center ($40,000) will implement Supporting Our Youth (SOY) summer camp and afterschool program to foster academic achievement, cultural empowerment and family engagement among McKeesport’s Latino youth.

 

Youth Opportunities Development ($62,000) will purchase a 15-passenger van to increase participation in field trips and facilitate drop-off services for students in Clairton.

 

Pittsburgh Minority Business Accelerator (dba BEAM Collaborative - $250,000) will diversify the supply chains of large anchor institutions in Pittsburgh by connecting them with Black-owned businesses, resulting in economic opportunities for the Black community and ensuring a more inclusive and prosperous region. 

 

Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy ($175,000) will install a one-of-a-kind holiday light display with supporting programming at Mellon Square Park to add to the vibrancy of Downtown Pittsburgh during the winter months.
